“Laura is not simply just another gifted writer in her own right but also a true editor in every sense of the word.  She has the uncommon ability to work with eclectic “guest authors” and columnists with varied writing skills and levels of commitment.  She is always able to see “the rainbow in the dark” in even the roughest piece and work with the author…in the development of a publishable final product.

Laura also enjoys the gift of grace.  This is an invaluable asset in her vocation. She never loses her composure and thrives under the pressure of a deadline.  She always maintains her perspective and sense of humor. She prides herself on never missing a publication deadline despite the obstacles we continually place in her way.

We are honored to offer Laura our highest recommendation… She is a real gem and will be a true asset in any endeavor she may choose to pursue.”

Laura was brought in to help our nursing administration develop a communications plan to raise awareness and critical support for our nursing Magnet® re-designation campaign. It was very important to our organization to maintain this achievement, which represents nursing’s highest honor.

A challenging staff climate faced us, stemming from changes in the health care environment. Laura intuitively designed a successful comprehensive plan, emphasizing teamwork and all-staff collaboration, and creating pieces based on great interview quotes and photos of our front-line staff. The highly visible campaign included a series of newsletter articles, banners, café table tents, electronic communications, presentations and talking points, as well as letters to external audiences.

The outcome: Morale was raised, and support was generated. We recently celebrated a Magnet review with a superb outcome that exceeded even our hopes.

Laura brought many talents, as well as passion, to this campaign. We look forward to working with her again.
